CHRISTMAS!
CALIFORNIA!
FAMILY!
What does this spell?
FUN!
Wow, oh, wow, did I ever have fun in California for 2009 Christmas with my family! Wow, oh, wow!
Wanna see some great photos?
I thought so........
Grammie (me) brought a bundle of children's books wrapped with a gold ribbon. Almost every night, Madeline and Mason would run to get their jammies on, teeth brushed and then down to have me read a bedtime story to them by the Christmas tree.
FUN!
PRECIOUS MEMORIES!
Christmas morning Jay read the account of Christ's birth from the Scriptures.
Thanks, Jay! The true gift of giving given to us by our Father Who loves us!
Think Mason can get this entire dessert into his mouth?
Nope, but he tried!
Love this photo!
Shopping for our Christmas meat at Bristol Farms we just had to stop and eat a yummy lunch there. The dessert counter was more than we could resist! We ALL enjoyed the dessert of our wishes! Oh, yes, we purchased the most tender and tasty filet mignon roast for our Christmas dinner.
Mason and Madeline wanted to show me how they acted like kittens drinking their milk!
They both love Sunny, our cat, back in Somerville, Texas! They play "Cat" frequently.
Cute, isn't it?
Christmas morning gifts were plentious and so fitting for each person.
The next few photos show the gifts given.
Christmas breakfast is being made.
I brought Paula Deen's Christmas Cookbook 2008 and we made three scrumptuous dishes.
Madeline loves to help in the kitchen.
My mother, Dora McMahan, made these towels for Stephanie.
A Kindel from Jay for Stephanie!
How handy!
A great gift!
The Flowers and me got these magnetic photos from our family in Tirana, Albania.
Kris, Chelle, Kaitlyn, Whitney, Sierra and Breanna....we missed you so much!
Thanks for the gifts!
Hugs all around for the love and gifts given!
I love this photo!
This was our Christmas breakfast. A little out of order but then again you wouldn't want me to bore you with the ordinary, would you?
Football was enjoyed by all!
The Furr-Real cat in front of the children I gave to Madeline. This cat does just about everything a real cat does. Madeline named her "Muffin".
Mason and Jay are going to really get after me for including this photo!
Can you understand why?
I just had to do it because I saw the delight in the eyes of the children as they played dress-up!
Grammie's treat for Madeline and Mason to the ice cream store!
Mommy, Steph, came with us. We just could not leave her out!
And here she is......
What a great dad Jay is! Not only did the children enjoy this fun with him, but several days Jay bundled up the children and took them to the airport to "watch airplanes" and play. Their little eyes would just light up when he told them where they were going.
On January 1, 2010, the day before I returned home to Somerville, the family gave me a birthday gift (my birthday was on the 4th) of photos with them at the Portrait People studio!
While we waited for some of the photos to be processed, I took Madeline and Mason to the carosel nearby in the mall. Each child selected the animal they best liked. Here Mason is making the sounds of his favorite animal.
Madeline just loved "her" horse.
On Sunday, December 27, we went to church, Grace Community.
Sorry the photo is so dark but I wanted to let you see the choir singing.
Christmas 2009 in California with my family was an incredible moment for me.
