I made Bud's marvelously delicious Chili and served it up with, of course, Fritos, onion, shredded cheese and if you are brave, go ahead, and add some fresh jalapenos from Gerald Klassen's garden. Yahoo!
We had regular cornbread and jalapeno/bacon cornbread and Cheetos. Topping off the comfort food list were Amish cookies and hot coffee!
As we enjoyed our lunch together I arranged for everyone to enjoy a DVD of Andy Griffin!
My dear friend, Edie Craig, was actually expressing to me that she did not want to be posing for this photo, but would rather like to find a chair and be digging in to her hot Frito Pie creation.
Go for it, Edie!
The gang! From left to right: Nancy McQuistion, Randy Birdwell, Student worker-KristenWiehe, way in the back-Edie Craig, Beth Thomas, David Jones and Bob Beals. Beth Thomas made the best jalapeno/bacon/cheese cornbread! You rock, Beth!
Kristen Wiehe, one of our many gifted student workers, is like an older granddaughter to me! She is a strong believer and has the gift of encouragement. What a treasure she is! Kristen will be with us only until December, when she will be graduating and moving on to higher aspirations. She will be missed!
The Real Estate Center's director, Gary Maler, was all smiles as he saw the spirit of his staffers gathering together to eat lunch. He gave us all the thumbs up to do this again!
Thanks, Gary!
What a grand time we all had!
Another one of my INCREDIBLE MOMENTS!
